About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development ManagerEnd User | Property & Assets Upgrades to join our Queensland Team, based out of our current office in Loganholme, but soon to be Mansfield in mid-2024.

This position, reporting to the State Manager, is responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying and pursuing new opportunities with existing customers, building strong relationships with key industry players, and developing strategic business plans aligned with our overall growth vision.

Your key accountabilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Identifying and targeting new business opportunities through research, market analysis, and lead generation. 
  • Building relationships with key decision-makers in the electrical industry with a focus on facility managers, client service-focused electrical contractors, and resident engineers to market and sell Clevertronics products and services.   
  • Developing and executing strategic Business Development plans to achieve revenue and growth targets. 
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects and solutions to customers. 
  • Preparing and delivering compelling sales presentations and proposals. 
  • Staying up to date with industry trends, competitors, and market conditions. 
  • Providing regular reporting and analysis of Business Development activities and results. 
  • Fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the Clevertronics team. 
  • Maintain a sound knowledge of your wholesaler’s customer base including direct contact with Electrical and Fire contractors. 
  • Provide technical and professional advice to companies to identify the most suitable products for their application and demonstrate the suitability of Clevertronics evacuation systems from specification to supply. 
  • Attend company and client functions which may occasionally require out-of-hours participation. 
  • Liaise with Clevertronics commissioning and sales teams to implement site commissioning and documentation to support the Lifetime Technical Services team for future upgrades. 
  • Adherence to the company Customer Satisfaction Policy and Quality Management System (where ISO 9001 certified) 

Skills and Experience

This role requires effective teamwork, persuasive sales skills, skilled negotiation, keen market insight, and a high standard of quality for optimal business outcomes; and:

  • At least 5 years' experience in a similar role within Electrical, Wholesale, Construction, Facility Management, or other technical industry
  • Electrical industry experience related to either a technical or commercial level. (Preferred but not essential)
  • Demonstrated track record experience in B2B sales.
  • Demonstrated experience in selling technical products and solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and maintain long-term customer relationships.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to multi-task, identify growth opportunities, manage projects, and develop actionable plans.
  • Results-orientated mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent organisation, presentation, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills.
  • Current valid driver's license
