SUMMARY OF ROLE
This role is the front face of UAM OEM/ODM business service, acting as the customer-facing expert engaged with client’s businesses by providing tailored solution from sales, NPD, and operations to meet each client’s needs across Australian and international markets, acting as strong bridge by building up the strong relationship with Clients to help them to be successful. This role is a result focused, suiting a natural hunter responsible for meeting sales KPIs, who is self-motivation and people oriented.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic planning and operations management
- Build the business strategy for the company and provide suggestions to improve the internal operations based on the business and clients’ needs
- Conduct business analysis and identify the potential markets and growth opportunities
- Manage the yearly forecast and budgeting
Business management and development
- Plan approaches and pitches
- Identify potential clients and the decision makers within the client organization
- Cold call as appropriate to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities
- Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business
- Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network
- Use a variety of styles to persuade or negotiate appropriately
- Set up meetings between client decision makers and company’s practice leaders
- Work with team to develop proposals that speaks to the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives
- Deal with the related departments to deliver the projects
- Take lead in pricing the solution
- Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreement, and working through differences to a positive conclusion
- Report weekly and monthly back to the business
Customer relationship management
- Build a deep customer intelligence and strong network with key stakeholders
- Know customer profiles and deliver customer centricity
- Build and nurture long-lasting relationships
- Update and maintain client database on weekly basis
Commercial management
- Draft, negotiate, deliver, and maintain the contracts meeting compliance standards
- Review and improve the commercial constructs that underpin the company proposals, optimising financial outcomes for the company whilst mitigating commercial risk
- Review each clients contract and prices on the quarterly bases or yearly bases to comply with company’s finance strategy.
- Establish strategies around margin optimization and business growth
Internal process improvements
- Take the lead of internal cross functional collaboration to deliver the products and services to the client and close the deal in a timely manner, including but not limited to supply chain, R&D, Finance, etc.
- Identify and support continuous improvement in commercial processes especially contracting and financial obligations
Marketing strategy
- Define marketing strategy, plans and calendar
- Prepare the marketing materials and contents
- Prepare for the budget of marketing expense and get approval from CEO
- Attend events, functions, and industry meetings to build awareness and consideration across the market
Team management
- Lead by example
- Set communication & performance targets
- Mentor and develop Account Managers
- Take initiative to set up and ensure efficient processes
- Talent review, development and succession planning for key positions
EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCE REQUIRED
- Proven experience of Business Development experiences in cosmetics or FMCG contract manufacturing business
- Sound client engagement experience in facing B2B environment
- Related technical knowledge or experience in new product development, R&D, QC or Production shall be preferred
- Self-motivated, be able to manage your schedule and pipelines to hit KPIs without supervision
- Have a hunger to continually improve and develop
- Open-minded, flexible, and able to work effectively with people from diverse cultural backgrounds
