Our Position
We are seeking to appoint an experienced and driven Business Development Manager - Orthotics to join our NeuroMobility business unit. This is a great opportunity for an Orthotist who is motivated to combine their clinical skills with a sales/Business Development role. Based in Victoria, the BDM – Orthotics will drive and be responsible for business opportunities, partnerships, and customer relations throughout the States of Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia & Western Australia. As such, the position will require regular inter-state travel.
The primary focus of this role is to assist customers with the application of our advanced portfolio, including C-Brace, Stance Control Orthoses, and Functional Electrical Stimulation, and to prospect business opportunities for growth. Your current skills and knowledge will be complemented by comprehensive product training and certification provided by the Ottobock team.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain exceptional customer relationships.
- Provide support with Ottobock product patient fittings, trials, and assessments.
- Partner with specialists in Neurological conditions and conduct seminars for healthcare professionals.
- Establish and maintain relations with service provision facilities, clinicians, and funding bodies.
- Prospect for and actively initiate business opportunities for growth.
- Achieve sales targets for NeuroMobility product portfolio.
- Assist in planning, organizing, and executing company events and trade shows.
- Remain informed on industry trends and communicate accordingly.
- Market and promote Ottobock services to our clients.
- Respond to inquiries and attend to daily administration within Salesforce and operational tasks and be the link with other departments.
- Continuous learning – utilise specialist training provided by Ottobock to become a product specialist in the field of NeuroMobility.
About You
- Valid working rights to work in Australia (essential).
- Proven success in the same or a similar position.
- Degree qualified in Orthotics/Prosthetics (highly regarded).
- 2+ years proven Orthotic and Prosthetic clinical experience (experience in mobility not essential, however, highly regarded).
- Passion for achieving the best possible clinical outcomes for your clients.
- Excellent people and relationship-building skills.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
- Interest in business and sales processes.
- Engaging and effective presentation and training skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage and prioritise time.
- Proficient use and application of Microsoft Suite – Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams.
- Valid driver's license.
- Own vehicle (Car Allowance provided).
