My client is an international organization that is leading the way in Australia in delivering unique and bespoke mobile and modular, clinical infrastructures within the public and private health sector. They provide clients with new or replacement Operating Theatres, Wards, Endoscopy Suites, Decontamination and diagnostic units.
This is no ordinary sales role; this is for people who thrive on providing complex solutions sales and love the chase as much as the after sales service. Your focus will be on Business Development and nurturing client relationships with departmental heads and technical decision makers and managing your portfolio of clients. You will have a natural ability to keep them engaged and delighted throughout the sales cycle from start to completion, which can sometimes be challenging, due to the complex nature of the Australian healthcare system.
Based at the Brisbane office, your dedicated territory will be South Queensland and Northern NSW. There is a substantial warm pipeline of business provided and for those driven to succeed, the potential to start earning un-capped commission within the first 6 months. You will be supported and guided by the Country Manager who is incredibly supportive and knowledgeable about the sector and have the sales team to bounce ideas around with.
Please be aware this role will require substantial travel across Australia and potentially overseas, it is estimated 60% of your time will be travelling, which could range from overnight to a week or two away from home.
The key objectives of this role are:
- Hunting out the real opportunities and closing deals
- Creating viable solution options that meet customer needs effectively
- Supporting the formulation of strategies to continuously strengthen relationships across the market and particularly in emerging opportunities.
- Continuously developing and improving a network of key opinion leaders within your territory
- Tracking and communicating market trends in the field including information
- Assisting in forecasting activities including maintaining pipeline
- Identifying and responding to key account technical and departmental decision makers needs and maintains customer contact records
- Assisting with tender responses, clinical and technical contributions to proposals
- Providing input into developing marketing plans, advertising, and sales forecasts/reports.
- Working with the marketing team to develop required promotional, and training materials,
- Supporting tender and bid processes including needs qualification and customer education.
- Supporting the management of delivery to customers based on availability schedules.
- Attending relevant medical conferences/technical exhibitions
- Self-motivated and sales focused
- Excellent relationship management skills and ability to build and maintain exceptional stakeholder relationships across all levels, including C-suite
- Ability to work autonomously in fast-paced, high-growth sector with long sales cycles
- Minimum 3 years sales experience in hospital capital equipment, surgical devices or similar
- Demonstrated ability in understanding customer qualification, requirements analysis, project management, delivering complex solutions and competitive analysis.
- Ability to synthesize complex issues and communicate in simple terms
- Extremely high level of and written and verbal communication, including presentations
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Self-aware with a strong desire to learn and continuously improve.
- Ability to travel (estimate up to 60% travel)
- Valid motor vehicle license
- Based in Brisbane
- Nursing, allied health or similar healthcare related qualification is highly desirable.
- Previous practical clinical experience (e.g. nursing) in wards, operating theatre, interventional procedures or similar will be highly valued
