This is a full-time opportunity in Melbourne, reporting to the National Sales Manager – Consumables and VIP (Thermal Printing, Scanning and Mobile Computing). As the Business Development Manager, you will drive new business opportunities (70% new business and 30% existing valued clients). This will involve many aspects of Business Development, such as:
- End-user and corporate sales
- Alliance development
- Management and contribution to marketing and business strategy

The position's remuneration will be commensurate with your experience and include a base salary, on-target and stretch commission, and car allowance.
About you:
We seek an individual who can or has:
- Leads by example
- Recognise business opportunities and actively seek out new business and close sales.
- Take ownership of actions; follow through on commitments and meet deadlines.
- Anticipates and responds to customer needs by seeking and acting on their feedback.
- Establishes open and trusting relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including C-Suite
- Writes and presents technical and non-technical information clearly, concisely and persuasively.
- Teamwork: must understand the importance of working with multiple departments
- CRM expert (experience with Microsoft CRM desirable)
- Understand the importance of a healthy Pipeline
- Medium to High skills in MS Suit of products
- Previous experience in Business Development or sales representative roles.
- 3-5 years in a role involved in Face to Face customer meetings
- Previous experience in a new business sales role.
- Car Licence
- Own a car
- Knowledge of the labelling and coding equipment industry, major competitors, and insignia customers (desirable)
