Business Development Representative

Breakwater Metaland is a successful Geelong based business that has been trading for over 25 years. 

We specialise in metal sales, cutting & processing to the trade and public but also have:

• A retail shop with various hardware and engineering products 
• Offer welding, fabrication & manufacturing services
• Have our own range of manufactured products

About the role:

Due to continuous growth of our products & services we require a Business Development Representative to join our team to build awareness in the market.

Responsibilities:

• Build & maintain relationships with existing customers by identifying opportunities & offering exceptional customer service
• Make contact with potential customers, aim to understand their business & identify how our products & services can fulfill their needs 
• Maintain accurate and up to date customer information, including a structured call plan that works with our clients’ requirements
• Generate and follow up accurate sales estimations for all areas of our products/ services
• Ensure all commitments you make to customers are fulfilled
• Resolve customer issues, disputes, complaints, both onsite and offsite in a prompt and professional manner

Skills:

• Ability to talk comfortably & adapt communication style to suit a varying range of customers in trade & office roles
• Comfortable to approach new clients & identify decision makers
• Enthusiastic to learn & understand our products/ services
• Current drivers license

Advantages:

• Ability to read & understand engineering drawings or building plans 
• Good knowledge or prior experience in the steel or construction industry
• Experience with CAD
