AddressExciting opportunity awaits to join Metcash's food division (Campbells), as a Business Development Representative. The purpose of this role is to grow profitable sales with existing customers and develop new business within the Cairns region. You will truly be 'the face of the business' visiting customers and potential new business in person. Whilst you will be on the road daily, promoting the business, there will be no overnight stays required!
What you'll do
- Deliver sales budget within the defined territory
- Execute the state and national convenience sales strategy to achieve set objectives
- Maintain effective relationships internally and externally to deliver core partnership strategies for Wholesale
- Execution of a territory customer call plan in line with the Wholesale strategy, ensuring sales are captured by the business in the most effective manner
- Grow existing business through relationship management techniques and effective use of promotional campaigns, range reviews and new product development
- Regularly identifies new opportunities in territory, develops and actively gains new profitable business to build route density.
What you'll be
- Experience conducting sales conversations and negotiating sales agreements
- Experience using sales data and analytics to generate insights and influence decision making
- Knowledge of FMCG industry, ownership structures and the end to end supply lifecycle
- Understanding of operational systems and processes (e.g. Tableau, CRM)
- Experience working to deadlines and changing priorities in a time pressured environment
