What You'll Do:
As a Business Development Representative (BDR), your primary focus will be to source new business targets for our Business Development Managers (Enterprise & Government), ultimately expanding our base of subscribing Pulsar & Isentia clients. Here's what your role will entail:
- Lead Generation: You'll proactively identify and engage potential clients through cold-calling, LinkedIn outreach, and networking, with a focus on local and state government, public sector, and not-for-profit markets.
- Cold Calling: You'll conduct outbound calls to prospects, articulately communicating the value proposition of Pulsar and booking demos with interested parties.
- Sales Support: You'll collaborate closely with Business Development Managers, providing them with qualified leads and supporting them throughout the sales process.
- Demo Scheduling: You'll manage the process of scheduling demos with potential clients, ensuring seamless communication and follow-up.
- Continuous Learning: You'll take ownership of your personal development, continuously seeking to improve your sales skills and knowledge of our products and industry.
What You'll Bring:
- Sales Experience: Minimum of 12 months experience in a similar outbound sales role, with a track record of success.
- Proactive Mindset: Ambitious and eager to pursue a long-term career in sales, with a willingness to engage in cold prospecting.
- Communication Skills: Articulate with an excellent telephone manner, able to effectively convey the value proposition of Pulsar to potential clients.
- Organizational Skills: Naturally organized and able to prioritize effectively, ensuring maximum productivity and lead generation.
- Positive Attitude: Excellent communicator with a positive attitude, dynamic, confident, and target-driven.
- Initiative: Keen to learn with a great initiative, able to take ownership of lead generation through proactive research and networking.
