About the Role This role will lead the delivery of key business and Customer Experience improvements to the City Development department, supporting the City Development Leadership Team to improve the day to day operations of the Statutory Planning, Building Services and Health Protection units. The role requires excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, as well as well-developed research and analysis abilities, with a key focus on data analysis and project management.
Lead the development, implementation, and management of a comprehensive continuous improvement program for the City Development department.
Deliver highly efficient and proactive business support, streamlining processes and projects for the City Development department.
Leverage expertise in data analysis and visualisation to curate reports that integrate key performance data, trends, and public feedback associated with Statutory Planning, Environmental Health and Building Services functions.
Provide comprehensive support to the City Development department, streamlining their operations and contributing to departmental success.
Leverage strong communication and problem-solving skills to deliver excellent service to both internal and external contacts of the City Development department.
Skills & Experience
Project-management understanding and ability to analyse processes, develop solutions, and work to timelines in partnership with stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to analyse information, produce reports on key performance data and measure trends and outcomes.
Good understanding of and ability to use Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Access, PowerBi and other relevant applications. Knowledge of the GEAC Pathways Local Government software package (or similar systems) is desirable.
Knowledge and highly developed skills in customer service principles and practice.
Ability to research and analyse issues and problems.
An understanding of the function of the position within its organisational context, including relevant policies, regulations and precedents.
Basic understanding of the role of Statutory Planning, Environmental Health and Building Services.
