Is this the role for you?

We currently have a 2 Month Contract position for a Collections Officer located in our Head Office in North Ryde. We are seeking a candidate who is motivated, quick learner and seeking an opportunity to work within a credit control team.

This position will see you play a critical role with the Collections Team as we drive to reduce AR Ageing in Q4 in preparation for year end reporting. You will be pro-actively engaging with our customer base that has current and 30 days aged balances to ensure invoices has been received by the customers, confirming they have been approved, set payment date, or where invoices are disputed raise these internally within the Collections Team for specialist review and resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be the first point of contact for Customer accounts with Current and 30 days balances
  • Pro-actively follow up customers issued with invoices during the month to ensure invoices have been received and whether they have been approved or disputed
  • Escalate disputed invoices to Credit Controllers or Billings Team for prompt resolution
  • Investigate customer account queries and respond to customer queries (telephone and email)
  • Evaluate customers' ability to pay
  • Assist Credit Manager with adhoc requests
  • Support the broader Collections Teams with our year end push to reduce AR Ageing

To be successful in this role:

Key Selection Criteria:

  • Excellent Communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent time management skills
  • Ability to problem solve and process work quickly and accurately
  • Strong negotiation skills – telephone and debt collection
  • Experience working in a high volume environment, either inbound or outbound calls
  • A fantastic attitude and a willingness to go above and beyond
