The opportunity
IFYS has an exciting opportunity for a Coordinator to join the Accommodation Services team.
The Coordinator will be responsible for providing onsite leadership and day-to-day management of the operations at IFYS' Youth Crisis Shelters in Maroochydore and Burpengary.
Reporting to the Team Leader of Accommodation Services, the Coordinator is responsible for building and maintaining key stakeholder relationships to ensure service coordination and delivery.

Key responsibilities
- Will be required to spend a minimum of four (4) days per week in the programs
- Provide supervision, mentoring, support and consultation to program staff and students
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with a broad range of stakeholders and services
- Oversee the development, coaching and support of young people which addresses employment, training and educational needs alongside their individual holistic case management goals
- Work within and promote a culturally safe, trauma informed, therapeutic environment for both staff and clients
- Complete all necessary administrative, financial and human resource functions in a timely and accurate manner, whilst adhering to legislative and procedural requirements
- Contribute to continuous improvement, including but not limited to reviewing and developing procedures, with a view to create greater efficiencies in business operations.
Skills and requirements
- Experience as a Coordinator in Youth Homelessness or similar
- Proven ability to lead and mentor a team
- Exceptional relationship-building skills with stakeholders
- Strong administrative and organisational abilities
- A high level of computer and systems literacy
- Tertiary qualification in a related field (desirable)
Must hold or be willing to obtain if successful
- Valid driver's license with no restrictions, and own reliable transport
- QLD Working with Children Check (Paid Blue Card)
- Licensed Care Service Suitability Check (LCS2)
- National Criminal History Check (a new check will be conducted through IFYS systems)
