We are a vibrant team who pride ourselves on exceptional Customer Service. A 2nd generation family business, we have been in operation for 28 years. We offer Wharf Cartage, Cross Docking and 3PL Warehousing Services and have been working with some of our clients for over of 15 years. We are looking for a dynamic Customer Service person with a smile and a 'can do' attitude to join our team and take our service to the next level.
Qualifications & experience
- Experience providing excellent Customer Service
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Must have a can do attitude and strong problem solving skills
- Excellent multitasking and organisational skills, and great time management
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal with a positive upbeat attitude
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure, while maintaining an eye for detail is imperative
- Experience in the transport and warehousing industry would be highly valued but not essential. If you are keen and driven you will be adding value to both yourself and our business.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients
- Assist clients with queries received via phone and email in a timely fashion
- Liaise with clients to book in deliveries, collections and dehiring containers within free time
- Book and review transport and warehouse jobs through our internal operating system (Freight Tracker)
- Liaise with internal stakeholders about client requirements as necessary
- Book in pallet deliveries with outside carriers
- Create chep dockets
- Update job charges in our system
- Manage aqis requirements whilst keeping our system up to date
- Ensure records are maintained accurately and in a timely manner in Freight Tracker
