The Role:
Based outside of the city fringe (with parking available), you will be managing shipments from customer enquiry to placing order and keeping the customer updated on the status of the shipment.
Your Customer service Or Sales Support experience within forwarding is integral for this position. That experience speaking with customers over the phone and email is key to developing relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing a portfolio of key customers
- Customer service - Assist with enquiries, process orders
- Expedite customer orders for LCL, FCL, FAK into Australia
- Order status management - Update system, provide weekly status reports to clients
- Liaising with overseas offices/agents on a daily basis via email/phone
- Preparing quotations as required
- Work closely with operations, monitoring the shipments to ensure they move as booked
Who you are:
- Minimum 3+ years' experience in Customer Service or Sales Support (liase with customers over telephone and email, processing orders/enquires)
- Freight forwarding/Transport experience (Advantage)
- EDI Cargowise one experience
- Strong telephone influencing skills and excellent phone manner
- A "Can do" attitude and willingness to learn
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft skills – particularly Excel
