Form of workThe purpose of this role is to:
- Undertake the Drafting requirements in support of Regional Operations.
- Production of drawings including site plans, floor plans, elevations, internal elevations, details and sections, shadow and overlooking diagrams.
- Carry out variations to existing drawings
- Quality control to ensure all drawings are completed with 100% accuracy to reflect customer contractual documents, regulatory requirements and Burbank standards within agreed time frames
- Provide drawings and documentation to different levels of detail to suit the required stage of the plans process
- Provide drawings and documentation for tenders, masters, contracts, council lodgements and site purposes.
- Identify cost effective and build-able solutions to all designs.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes, regulations and design guidelines.
- Apply technical skills and knowledge to achieve set objectives
- Perform a range of tasks in accordance with established guidelines and under general supervision
- Resolve problems through interpretation and application of established guidelines
- Organize own work to achieve required outcomes
- Provide sound technical advice and information to the public and colleagues, within established guidelines
- Provide guidance and assist with the development of less experienced employees
- Diploma of Drafting, Design or related qualification
- Demonstrated experience and success in drafting, preferably with a volume building environment
- Demonstrated proficiency in ArchiCAD and the ability to adapt to other program
- Demonstrate knowledge of NCC Building Regulations and Australian standards in residential construction
- Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team
- Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Proactive and innovative approach to problem solving
- Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook computer skills
- Strong attention to detail with excellent customer service skills
- Broad understanding of the construction process, terminology and documentation
