We are seeking an exceptional Executive Business Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be someone that can support the Payroll, HR and Administration functions of a fast growing business. Services will play a pivotal role in guiding strategic direction, leading corporate services,and contributing to the development and implementation of the organisation’s Strategic Plan.

It also provides strategic and operational leadership for the shared services functions of finance, information technology, marketing, compliance, workplace health & safety and human resources.

This is a new position, reporting to the CEO, and would be perfect for someone with a wealth of knowledge and experience in business management, ideally within NDIS sector. 

What We’re Looking For

To be successful in this role you will have a genuine interest in working in the NDIS sector, specifically working in a team delivering support to those who need it most. You will be a strategic leader, with demonstrated skills leading a diverse team and supporting the executive management team.

You will be a strong people manager with excellent interpersonal skills, diplomacy, and ability to manage and communicate with stakeholders effectively. You will have the ability to drive change, continual improvement and assess and manage risk. Knowledge of Government funding models will be highly regarded.

About you - To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Degree level qualification supported by appropriate commercial experience,
  • Experience in a leadership role within finance and/or business administration,
  • Current working knowledge and understanding of accounting practices (including taxation), HR management, industrial relations and WHS legislation (especially those related to the disability sector),
  • Sound understanding and working knowledge of management information systems, and Highly developed communication and consultation skills.

A relational leadership style, advanced computer skills, together with superior organisational skills are considered imperative, as is a commitment to and support for the organisation’s ethos.

About the Role

  • Reporting to the CEO some of your key responsibilities are:
  • Compliance with financial, legal, governance and legislative requirements
  • Managing cash flow, budgets, and the balance sheet of your departments
  • Driving optimisation of finance systems, processes, and policy to improve business efficiency.
  • Guiding, coaching and mentoring the business services team. 
  • Contributing to development and delivery of program and service budgets
  • Strategic management of the organisation’s financial resources,
  • Driving optimisation of systems, processes and policy to improve business efficiency.
  • Delivering monthly and annual financial reporting
  • Leading Business Development
  • Managing Business Risk
  • Lead the organisation’s Human Resource, IT and Administration functions.
  • General asset management
  • Coordination of workplace health and safety,

Compliance and Regulatory Reporting:

  • Ensure compliance with NDIA and compliance with financial legislation and standards including determining, implementing, monitoring, reviewing and evaluating budgetary and accounting strategies, policies and plans in consultation with other managers within the organisation.
  • Overseeing the delivery of internal services including finance, IT, marketing, compliance, workplace health & safety and human resources.
  • Stay updated on changes in NDIA regulations and assess their impact on the company's financial practices.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process optimisation within the plan management department.
  • Implement efficient and effective accounting processes to ensure compliance and streamline workflows, including coordinating the development, implementation and monitoring of accounting systems.
  • Continuously seek ways to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with other departments to align financial strategies with overall company goals.
  • Provide financial insights and support for strategic initiatives and projects.
  • Effective communication and cooperation on compliance-related matters.

 Continuous training and development:

  • Stay informed about industry best practices and share relevant updates with the team.
  • Willingness to learn and grow with the organisation.
