About the Role and You
Reporting to the Deputy Director-General in the Strategic Communications Branch, you will play a significant role in managing the reputation of the Department of Justice and Attorney-General. The Executive Director is responsible for the delivery of strategic integrated communications across media relations, online and web services, internal communications, stakeholder engagement and specialised campaign communications. Additionally, the Executive Director will lead a skilled team and foster a positive team culture whilst managing performance and development.
You will possess exceptional leadership capabilities and a proven record of leadership success in large and complex environments, whilst delivering strategic and media communications. You will display a high level of autonomy, delegation and agility in adapting environments, with a comprehensive understanding of complex public administration policies and experience in reforms and continuous improvement. You will demonstrate experience in navigating and managing highly complex stakeholder relationships as well as working with stakeholders to enhance outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Queenslanders. Importantly, you will drive a culture of respect and inclusivity.
