Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Accountant/Bookkeeper to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring the financial health and stability of our growing startup. The ideal candidate will be organized, reliable, and proficient in accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Prepare financial statements and reports for management review.
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial documents.
- Process payroll and ensure timely payments to employees.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Monitor cash flow and assist in cash management.
- Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Proven experience as an Accountant or Bookkeeper, preferably in a startup or small business environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software - Xero.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
