The Role and Duties
Greenroom Robotics is seeking a trusted Finance Officer to join our team, based in our Fremantle WA office. With your proven expertise, you'll support daily operations and strategic decision-making while ensuring our compliance needs are met.
Part time (3-4 days per week) will be considered for suitable applicants.
Key Responsibilities:
P&L management:
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Monitor cash flow and identify any irregularities
- Proactively manage accounts payable / accounts receivable
Financial reporting:
- Ownership of financial reporting to executive team
- Ensure all reporting requirements are completed on a timely basis with quality
- Ensure actions are taken to achieve deadlines for the different reporting requirements
- Ensure the accuracy of the monthly closing financials and timely submission of monthly closing report & commentary
Financial planning and analysis:
- Analyse and interpret financial data to provide insights into business performance
- Collaborate with other departments to develop and monitor budgets.
- Lead annual budget process and quarterly rolling forecast, ensure timeliness and quality
Financial integration:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand integration requirements across departments
- Implement best practices to ensure consistency in financial operations
- Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with company finances
- Provide training and support to end-users as required
Taxation, Audit and statutory accounts:
- Company liaison/contact point with external advisors and providers
- Assist full and timely compliance and filing of all local tax reporting
- Ensure compliance with local statutory and regulatory practices.
- Be the focal contact point for all the external/internal audit related queries and requirement
- Review all commercial contracts to assess need for external review
Cash, Treasury and Risk management (where relevant):
- Implement internal controls to safeguard company risk.
- Local liaison/point of contact with local bankers
- Handle all local insurance related matters including group submissions.
Continuous process improvement:
- Facilitate communication across functions to drive continuous improvement.
Essential
Permanent Residents and Australian citizens only.
The following is required:
- Professional accountancy qualification (CPA, CMA, or equivalent),
- Tertiary qualification in Finance/Accounting/Business
- In-depth knowledge of financial regulations and accounting principles.
- In-depth knowledge of financial analysis, risk management, and legal compliance.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to deliver exceptionally strong output even under time-pressure.
- Experience or track record in project finances.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, collaborating effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Desirable Experience/Qualifications:
- Relevant experience in maritime or technology industry.
- Interest in AI/Autonomy/Tech.
- Proficiency with Xero.
- Experience with RDTI & TPAR reporting.
