Diverse group of companies requires a switched on Financial Accountant to cover maternity leave Your new company Are you a detail-oriented finance professional looking for an exciting role? We are looking for an experienced Financial Accountant to join a diverse group on a 12-month maternity cover contract. Your new role Key Responsibilities:
Financial Statements: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including month-end and year-end reports. You'll handle intercompany group loans reconciliation, R&D claims, and year-end auditing.
Tax Compliance: Take charge of BAS, IAS, and FBT preparation, as well as BAS lodgements.
Payroll and Superannuation: Ensure smooth payroll processing and manage superannuation administration.
Accounts Payable: Monitor and train accounts payable staff, ensuring end-of-month payments and daily bank reconciliation.
Business Analysis: Dive into business data, contribute to forecasting, and maintain our group cash flow.
Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with external and internal stakeholders, including ATO, solicitors, department heads, and sales and marketing teams.
Budgeting and Cost Management: Oversee construction budgeting and cost control.
What you'll need to succeed
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field and ideally CA/CPA
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
