Role Overview
Reporting into the Financial Controller, this Financial Accountant will be responsible for the preparation of Month end including Banking Reconciliations Balance sheet reconciliations, Intercompany transactions and the preparation and lodgement of BAS. You will drive efficiency through your sound accounting knowledge and Excel skills and assist with all tax and audit requirements as well as year-end close.
This role will give you exposure to the wider business and allow you to continue to expand your month-end and financial reporting experience. Capitalise on your attention to detail and proactive nature to take the next step in your accounting career.
Responsibilities
- Banking reconciliations
- Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Intercompany reconciliations
- Preparation and lodgement of BAS/GST
- Assisting with P&L monthly and yearly close
- Maintain Insurance and Property register including updates and renewals.
- Fixed Assets Management
- Accruals, prepayments, and general journal postings.
- Assisting with audit and taxation.
- Contribute to process improvements.
Candidate Profile
You are highly energetic and eager to learn and develop in your career. You are degree-qualified in Accounting and are CA or CPA-qualified (or on the path to completing). You have a strong understanding of key accounting standards and experience working with a large P&L. You have exceptional communication skills that you leverage in shaping positive working relationships, you are resilient and enjoy working and learning in a fast-paced environment.
