The Client
Our client is a highly reputable organisation who operate within the financial services industry sector. They are committed to providing a high level of service to their customers and after a recent period of change, are setup for success in 2024.
The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Office of the CEO & Strategy, this is an executive level role and forms part of the senior leadership team. It takes ownership for the People and Performance function for the business and will take responsibility for the delivery of the plans, alongside ensuring excellent day to day people services for the business and driving compliance and governance in all areas. Key duties include:

• Functional leadership of the People and Performance function
• Ownership of the People Strategy which aligns to the business strategic plan
• Be a thought leader in the business, advising and guiding the leadership team in people best practices, legislation and strategies
• People leadership including providing inspirational and motivational leadership of a small team of two
• Own and manage the performance management framework
• Develop a succession and development plan for key roles within the business
• Alignment and adherence with organisational governance policies, process and standards and external legal and regulatory requirements
• Develop a clear Employee Value Proposition in support of employee retention & talent attraction
• Develop a workforce plan and Talent Attraction/Acquisition strategy focussed on strengthening the ability to attract talent, improve candidate and hiring manager experience throughout the recruitment cycle
• Support the business through the implementation of attractive employee benefits, ensuring all benefits are applied correctly and reported accurately
• Providing salary and remuneration advice to line managers including managing all remuneration reviews
• Provide accurate advice to leaders / payroll and employees on award interpretation
• Handle all workplace health and safety including reporting
• Manage financial performance of the HR and training budgets
• Delivery of internal training to employees and leaders

The Person
To be successful in this role you have:

• A Bachelor Degree in Human Resources, Commerce, Business or similar
• A background in a senior/executive level People and Culture role with experience owning the P&P function
• Experience in the financial services sector ideally across a small to medium size organisation
• Experience across all areas of the employee lifecycle with the ability to think strategically whiles being hands on
• Experience in leading and transforming teams and developing new processes
• The ability to build relationships and influence the stakeholder group across the business
• An ability to demonstrate considerate and empathetic approach to people
