The role
Reporting to the Principal Health and Safety Adviser (Fatigue), Health and Safety Unit, your role will support collaborations with key stakeholders across Queensland Health to assist the development, coordination and implementation of strategic health and safety management systems, programs and initiatives with a focus on fatigue and wellbeing.
The role contributes to proactively monitoring organisational health and safety performance, current research, emerging issues and industry trends to assist in the identification and development of innovative best practice initiatives and support legislative and policy compliance to address key WHS and wellbeing risks across the health system.
The successful person
You will have demonstrated:
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of contemporary health, safety and wellbeing strategies and initiatives, including national and state policies, legislation, standards, research and trends, relating to psychosocial hazards and fatigue and the proven ability to apply that knowledge to assist in the development and implementation of effective systems, policies and programs within a large public sector organisation.
- A record of achievement in contributing to the development, implementation, evaluation and continually improving strategic organisation-wide psychosocial hazards and fatigue strategies within complex environments.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assist the analysis of performance data and writing of reports to drive systems improvement.
- Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to assist establishing and maintaining productive working relationships and assist liaising and collaborating with a range of internal and external stakeholders to facilitate their cooperation and support to achieve desired outcomes.
