HR Business Partner Role Overview
Reporting to the Head of People, Engagement & Wellbeing and working collaboratively with various teams, the HR Business Partner plays a significant role in shaping and maintaining a positive workplace culture through the implementation of wellbeing initiatives. Serving as the primary point of contact for all employee-related queries, concerns, and issues, the HR Business partner will foster open and effective communication with all DVConnect staff, contributing to the overall positive work environment. This role holds a key responsibility for supporting and building the capability of managers which includes enhancing team performance, fostering a positive culture, and developing the necessary skills within their teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the main contact for employee inquiries, concerns, and issues, facilitating transparent communication and bolstering a constructive work atmosphere.
- Maintain a positive workplace culture through well-being programs and aiding managers in improving team productivity and skill advancement.
- Oversee recruitment and talent management processes and driving recruitment strategies.
- Manage onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring accurate records and compliance with regulations.
- Monitor and implement HR policies, with a focus on maintaining the Learning and Development platform and ensuring compliance throughout the employee lifecycle.
- Provide employment relations advice, interpreting relevant laws and standards as needed.
- Support strategic initiatives and projects to contribute to the overall success and growth of the organisation.
Remuneration & Benefits
- $110k (pro rata for part-time) plus super.
- Salary package up to $15,990 per financial year inc. meal and entertainment allowance.

Position Requirements
- Tertiary Qualification in Human Resources, Business or similar.
- 5+ years’ experience as a HR Advisor or Generalist (not-for-profit organisation experience is highly regarded).
- Strong knowledge of HR policies and compliance.
- Previous experience in promoting employee wellness activities.
- Exceptional and effective interpersonal, communication, conflict resolution, presentation and engagement/consultation skills using a range of contemporary engagement practices.
- Significant demonstrated ability to manage complex and competing projects within agreed timeframes including planning, implementation, and coordination of key deliverables.
- Confident IT and administrative skills and management of HRIS systems.
- Commitment to employee confidentiality and workplace diversity, inclusion and excellency.
Additional Requirements
- Ability and willingness to obtain National Police Check and First Aid & CPR Certificate.
- Valid driver's license or ID.
- Right to work in Australia.
