About your new role
In this key HR role you will be responsible for all generalist HR activities including recruitment, selection and induction, HR policies and procedures, employee relations, performance review management, training and career development, HRIS maintenance and development, workers compensation and relevant legislative adherence.
Reporting to the General Manager, this role primarily acts as a HR partner to Managers delivering operational HR advice and providing the full range of general HR services and activities while ensuring the most effective utilisation of the valuable human resources asset for the purpose of achieving strategic business objectives.
About you:
To be successful you should have:
- Sound experience in a generalist HR role assisting to deliver contemporary HR practices within a medium to large sized organisation (ideally within the tourism & hospitality or related industry)
- Proven experience in recruitment and strong HR generalist experience and skills
- Knowledge and competence in dealing with ER matters
- Experience in coordinating training (experience delivering training also well regarded)
- Sound knowledge and skills with HRIS and other HR tools
- Understanding of payroll systems (Employment Hero) an advantage
- Strong organisational and business communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and under limited supervision.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Qualifications in HR or similar - essential
- Cert IV Training & Assessment – an advantage
- Rehabilitation & Return to Work Co-ordinator certification – an advantage
- High level of computer proficiency in MS Office suite of applications
