About the role
The HSE Business Partner is responsible for driving the proactive implementation and continual improvement of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) culture, strategy, plan and performance across a region.
Striving to advance Team Global Express's (TGE) business strategy through enabling a unified culture of safety, people, customer focus and operational excellence the role is responsible for providing practical HSW advice and support to our people and delivering initiatives that continually improve our HSE culture and performance in line with our 'Genuine Care Culture' strategic priority.
What you'll do
- Ensure ongoing improvement of HSE management through governance, data analysis, and research.
- Collaborate on developing and reviewing Business HSE Management System and HSE Plan.
- Lead investigations into workplace incidents, near misses, and injuries, implementing preventive actions.
- Develop and document safe work procedures in coordination with management and employees.
- Identify and provide necessary Health and Safety training, ensuring compliance with competency requirements.
- Collaborate with management to identify and control risks associated with hazardous substances, dangerous goods, plant, and legislated hazards. Maintain and communicate Health and Safety statistical data.

- Previous experience working in a high risk and or transport/logistics environment.
- Minimum Tertiary qualifications (Diploma in Work, Health and Safety) or higher.
- Prior experience participating in internal audits and reporting outcomes
- ICAM Investigation Training (or equivalent investigation methodology)
- Excellent working knowledge and awareness of Work Health and Safety Legislation
- Ability to challenge, influence, change and improve current systems, procedures, and processes
- Experience in undertaking inspections, risk assessments and develop safe work instructions
- Current Australian Drivers Licence.
