The Position
NUsport has an exciting opportunity of Human Resources Advisor, and is seeking a collaborative and forward thinking professional to provide accurate and timely advice and support to managers and employees in the delivery of HR organisational objectives.
The successful candidate will work with the senior management team to ensure alignment with NUsport’s Moving Ahead Strategic Plan and Corporate Plan deliverables and undertake the full range of HR functions including (but not limited to): recruitment and on-boarding, maintenance of employee records and HR information systems, compliance with applicable legislation, awards and company policies, review and update of employment manuals, support and coordination of the company’s Work, Health and Safety management system, and oversee the performance appraisal system and leadership development program.
To be successful in this role you will have demonstrated experience in the following essential areas:
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or related field, with previous Human Resources experience of 5 years.
- Knowledge of HR, WHS processes and best practice, with experience using systems to extract data and reports.
- Demonstrated ability to work with senior management to provide high quality People and Culture advice.
- Demonstrated ability to oversee career development and progression of staff, coaching individuals to improve current performance whilst developing new capabilities for the future.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills including a hands on approach and ability to perform duties at all levels, combined with demonstrated team experience and working collaboratively on projects.
Desirable:
- Experience in a health, fitness or sporting environment.
