About the Contract:
Role: HR Officer
Industry: Oil & Gas
Employment Type: Full-time temporary, with the potential to transition into a fixed-term contract.
Duration: Up to 12 months
Pay rate: $48 p/h + Super
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand the staffing requirements for upcoming projects in oil and gas.
Identify skills and qualifications required for various roles in oil and gas projects.
Create and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates.
Use different channels to find potential contractors.
Conduct interviews and assessments to evaluate candidates' skills.
Keep a database of qualified contractors, including availability, certifications and work history.
Negotiate contract terms with contractors, ensuring compliance with standards.
Manage relationships with staffing agencies and subcontractors.
Stay updated on laws, safety regulations, and industry standards.
Ensure contractors follow safety and regulatory requirements.
Maintain accurate documentation for each contractor, including certifications and licenses.
Coordinate onboarding for new contractors, including orientation and safety training.
Facilitate the completion of required paperwork, background checks, and drug tests.
Coordinate travel and accommodations for on-site contractors.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with contractors, subcontractors, and other key stakeholders.
Monitor on-site contractor performance and address issues promptly.
Generate regular reports on staffing, contractor performance, and compliance.
Key Selection Criteria:
Previous experience in oil and gas, managing a large number of contractors to site.
Super organised individual who thrives on solving problems.
Strong relationship-building and excellent communication skills.
Quick learner with a proactive approach and self-motivated.
