Hours & Salary
We are offering a competitive salary and this is negotiable depending upon your experience.
- This is a full-time position.
- The working week is Monday to Friday.
- Start time is 7:30am - Finish Time 4:00pm
- RDO first Monday of each month

The Role:
Industrial Designer for Lighting Manufacturer
This role is open to qualified Industrial Designers with hands-on factory experience.
We are currently seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic and creative individual to join our team.
The job includes but is not limited to some of the key activities listed below:
- The day starts with a group ‘work-start’ meeting to discuss the jobs and projects on hand.
- Working in a design office within a factory environment, you will be responsible for creating shop drawings for projects that include our exclusive & custom-made products.
- Approved projects/drawings will then require CAD files to be created for the CNC machine operator along with clear instructional drawings for any manual toolwork, assembly or fabrication.
- Attention to detail and accuracy are of paramount importance.
- You will review projects with your manager and have full support.
- All of our products are custom-made to order and are configured to suit.
- You will have the opportunity to work on many projects that require custom fabrication components to be designed and developed.
- R&D is all part of the fun and we love developing new products and product families.
- You will have the opportunity to apply your knowledge and skillset to create awesome new products.
- Projects range from small one-offs to large rollouts for leading global brands.
- Projects will require consideration of product selection, customisation, layout and configuration to give the best solution for the client.
- You will learn all about different types of sheet materials, plastics, timber, metals and more.
- Part of the role will involve you seeing your projects through from start to finish. This involves discussing with the production team what is required to manufacture the job. You will be required to get out into the factory and assist with production at times.
- You are confident in communicating by phone, email and verbally.
- You are able to use both a PC and a Mac
- Communicate effectively to ensure a smooth running of production.
- Quality control and checking of your work at every step.
- Positive team-oriented attitude with effective communication and a willingness to learn new skills.
Advantageous Skills
- Be able to competently use Adobe Illustrator
- An interest in LED Lighting
- Flatbed CNC Machine Knowledge
- CAD/ CAM experience.
- Manufacturing experience.
- Strong knowledge of using basic hand tools.
- Confident using power tools.
Additional Advantageous Skills
- LED/ Electronics experience.
- Full Australian Drivers Licence is preferred but not essential
