We are on the lookout for a talented Playground Designer with 5+ years industry experience to join our growing team.
A positive attitude, an eye for detail, a flair for creativity and previous experience in the in the playground industry is essential.
The Opportunity

You will play a vital role in our team as a lead designer who specialises in the development and design of our bespoke playground equipment and spaces.
Joining the business at an early stage you will have the opportunity for future growth and progression. To assist with this the business will support you in your growth and provide you with the freedom and flexibility to expand on your current design and leadership skill sets.
You Will Be:
- Highly creative with a sound understanding of product and spacial design
- Highly detailed in your approach to design
- Someone who places a high value on design and is passionate about creating the best in play
- Comfortable working within the architectural product field
- A team player that can work within a group, lead a team or work independently
- Motivated to create designs that are unique, innovative and challenging
You will have:
- 5+ years previous design experience within the playground industry
- Proficiency in ideating and developing play spaces and playground equipment with the ability to convey your concepts through imagery and presentation documentation
- Proficiency in the use of Solidworks software for both conceptual and technical documentation
- Proficiency in creating documentation drawings for manufacture within Solidworks
- Excellent design skills including the ability to ideate, conceptualise, develop, present and detail products throughout the complete design process.
- An eye for detail and an understanding of good design principles
- Proficiency in 2D & 3D CAD design with preference to SolidWorks, Autocad and Keyshot software
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign and MS Office programs
- Great project management, time management and organisational skills
- Problem solving abilities including the ability to resolve design problems through creative thinking
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- Leadership skills
Key responsibilities:
- The conceptualisation, development and detailing of bespoke architectural products including playgrounds, playground equipment, furniture & other structures
- Creation of conceptual and technical documentation
- Collaborating with team members, clients, consultants and suppliers
- Providing design leadership to other members of the team
Role Specifics
- Full time position located in Melbourne South Eastern suburbs
- Salary to be negotiated based on experience/qualifications
