As a member of our Product Development team, this individual will work on both new product development and existing product support.
This individual must exhibit a high level of innovative thinking, as well as demonstrate the ability to work independently to develop solutions to complex problems that require ingenuity and creativity.
This position has design responsibility to deliver – at a high level - usability, feature functionality, product quality, reliability, serviceability, manufacturability, whilst often meeting regulatory compliance.
Design, model and test prototypes for Aquaterro’s Military, LE and Security Products.
Work with Aquaterro’s Senior Designer and Business Development Managers (and from time to time with customers) in the development of user and system requirements for new and existing product offerings.
Assist in translating the requirements of our customers into new product concepts and prototypes.
Work collaboratively with the above project teams to translate findings, team input, end-user needs/strategy and brand characteristics into authentic and usable interface product solutions for the real-world.
Conceptualise new user interface solutions, taking into consideration engineering constraints, marketing needs, and industry best practices.
Research and select materials and components that compliment device design, usability and performance requirements.
Execute internal and external testing standards to verify product design and performance requirements.
Document new product design through the development of technical drawings (CAD).
Execute product design, planning and development while adhering to timelines and product targets.
As part of the Design Team skills and capability will be developed to use creative hardware such as CNC Equipment, 3D printers, C02 and Fibre lasers.
Assist in the marketing requirements of products & services with photographs and video, delivering creative assets of products for business development.
