Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Information Officer to join our team as part of our telephone and email advisory service.. In this role, you will be the frontline contact for our members, providing assistance, guidance, and support in response to their work-related queries and concerns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly and professionally to member enquiries via phone, email, or in-person.
- Utilise information packs and resources provided to address member queries accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the union's policies, procedures, and benefits to provide comprehensive assistance to members.
- Document and track member interactions and resolutions in our database system.
- Collaborate with other departments to escalate and resolve complex member issues when necessary.
- Identify and communicate trends or recurring issues to management for further action.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in customer service or a similar role
- Solid and accurate communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with members from diverse backgrounds.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and databases to manage enquiries and member information.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities, critical thinking skills, and the capacity to handle challenging situations with empathy and professionalism.
