The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Legal Secretary to join our insurance team on a full-time basis. This role will see you working in a team environment providing administrative and secretarial support to fee earners of varying seniority with key responsibilities including:
- File management
- Opening and closing files
- Drafting legal documents and correspondence
- Preparing briefs to counsel
- End of month billing and reporting
- Diary management and arranging appointments
- Liaising with clients via email and phone; and
- General administrative duties.
This role requires you to be self-motivated, flexible, and confident working in a fast-paced environment. The work is both challenging and rewarding, and our growing team has a high-performing, inclusive and learning-oriented culture.
Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role you will ideally have:
- Demonstrated legal secretarial experience
- Litigation experience (ideally defendant insurance)
- Experience using practice management systems (Aderant preferred)
- Proven history of understanding client requirements and compliance
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively
- Good interpersonal skills; and
- Excellent time management with the ability to prioritise taks.
