About the role:The Manager,
Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD)
System Planning and Priority Projects will hold accountability for
System Planning, including financial and operational sustainability, for the AOD system, and will lead a team to coordinate and lead responses to new and emerging issues and risks relating to the AOD system. The role involves developing effective relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders including Health Services and NGO and a range of program and policy areas within the department.

System Planning, including financial and operational sustainability, for the AOD system and lead a team to coordinate and lead responses to new and emerging issues and risks relating to the AOD system. Our successful candidate will provide high quality business intelligence and sound recommendations based on comprehensive research and investigations. Research findings shall be the basis for providing authoritative advice to internal and external stakeholders and preparing and presenting detailed, comprehensive reports, ministerial briefs, cabinet and agency submissions on complex matters.Suitable applicants will be able to demonstrate:
- A tertiary qualification in fields related to public policy, health administration or business management is desirable.
Expertise in health system reform.Technical expertise in health system funding and financial performance. * A strong understanding of the Victorian AOD system, and knowledge of the department and its operating processes and information systems is essential.Sound leadership and people management skills, as well as an ability to influence others to maximise efficiency and effectiveness of the Victorian health workforces and improve outcomes for Victorians.To learn more please click ‘Apply' to view the Position Description on the Careers.vic website.
