Manager, Commercial & Quantity Surveying Services
Manager, Commercial & Quantity Surveying Services
We are currently looking for an experienced Manager to lead our Commercial & Quantity Surveying Services team. Based on the east coast you will be leading a team of approximately 25, made up of Building Consultants, Quantity Surveyors, Project Managers and Case Managers.
What are my accountabilities?

  • Coaching and development of colleagues, including providing technical support and mentoring
  • Engage on complex or large losses when required.
  • Engage with clients from both a sales & account management perspective.
  • Manage the day-to-day operation and workflow.
  • Manage financial levers to deliver P&L measures.
  • You will be working in a team of Managers as an integral member of the Building Consultancy Division, reporting to the Senior Manager.
About you:
  • At least 10 years construction experience and 5 years’ experience within Commercial Construction
  • 3 years Insurance industry experience
  • Sound knowledge of the insurance industry (claims lifecycle) including the legislative framework, applicable codes, and products.
  • Strong knowledge of construction management practices and software.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills and demonstrated experience in managing teams.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
