QPS is committed to continuous service improvement to enhance public confidence and trust in their police and to improve officer and community safety. The CMP will directly contribute to these goals through the provision of holistic customer centric person and incident views, resulting in improved customer experience and reduced re-traumatisation of victims. This will be done by enabling the information the public provides upon their first contact with QPS to be securely recorded and accessible across all core contact areas of the service, as well as focusing on closing the loop by keeping customers and victims informed.
Your Key Accountabilities:The core capability requirements for this role are:
Provide strategic, operational and tactical procurement advice and guidance to management as required, whilst building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders in QPS Procurement Services and across government.
Lead the development of a strategic procurement approach to Vendor and Contract Management for the Client Management Program, including implementation of the Whole of Government / QPS Contract Management Framework to deliver high vendor performance, enhance relationships, manage risk and ensure value for money.
Coordinate and manage significant procurement projects in cooperation with key stakeholders, ensuring that risk, probity, and transparency requirements are addressed.
Lead the analysis of procurement patterns, procurement performance and key supply markets through the evaluation of current purchasing arrangements, systems and practices.
Role Requirements:Technical/Operational/Educational experience:
Accreditation in the Procurement Discipline
Accreditation in PRINCE2 methodologies or strong understanding of the methodology
Demonstrated procurement experience in a large-scale business of a comparative size to the QPS
Demonstrated procurement experience in managing complex supplier arrangements and contracts ensuring an efficient and effective environment thatfacilitates quality services and delivers value for money outcomes.
Demonstrated knowledge and ability to prepare Queensland Information Technology Contract (QITC) contracts
