Trader House is a collective of restaurants, speciality retail stores and tailored events by Melbourne-based chef, cookbook author and columnist Andrew McConnell and photographer Jo McGann. They are Gimlet at Cavendish House (currently ranked #84 in the World's 50 Best Restaurants), Cutler & Co., Supernormal, Marion, Cumulus Inc., Builders Arms Hotel, Meatsmith Heritage Butcher, Morning Market and Handmade Parties & Events. They are acclaimed locally and internationally for being at the forefront of quality, creativity, and dependability.

As a marketing all-rounder you thrive on the successful delivery of year-round strategic campaigns and content, have a keen eye for detail and have the capability to pitch and present commercially viable ideas and solutions that aid in business growth.

About you:
Content, Campaigns & Communications
You’re a go-to for digital knowledge and are comfortable presenting savvy solutions and ideas
You’re confident in developing, presenting, and overseeing marketing strategies for varied businesses at different market levels
You can manage a team and engage with key stakeholders, directing the end-to-end delivery of campaigns – from ideation through to execution primarily across eDM, website and social media channels
You’re a brand ambassador at heart and can easily understand individual styles and tones of voice for a variety of brands
You have a meticulous lens of quality, reflected by impressive copywriting & editing, excellent photography direction and the upkeep of sophisticated digital assets and collateral
You really care about the customer journey, from the moment they begin interacting with a brand to how they are communicated with after their experience
You thrive on analysis and can dissect and communicate actionable insights to key stakeholders with clear direction on how findings can positively impact business growth

PR, Project Management & Partnerships
You know how to identify a great opportunity, are comfortable pitching ideas and are an expert at shaping your approach to get the best out of each scenario
You understand the media, appreciate their needs and are tactful in influencing positive outcomes and exposure for brands
Commercially, you’re clear-sighted and can swiftly articulate viability and the potential impact to the business, whether you’re managing a media enquiry, partnership opportunity or activation idea
You’re comfortable directing and managing third parties, such as photographers, brand and PR agencies, web developers, consultants, and freelancers.
You appreciate the power of excellent and genuine account management, whether you’re dealing with the receptionist at a printing facility or the CEO of a C-Suite organisation – there is no task too small
You build rapport easily and appreciate when conflicting schedules and communication styles may mean adapting your method to get what you need and keep a project moving

Trader House has been a leader in Melbourne’s dining scene for over a decade, and we’re still growing with Supernormal Brisbane opening in 2023, Handmade Events extending their event capacity and an abundance of partnership events and activations on the horizon.

This is a 12-month maternity leave contract, with potential to extend beyond the initial fixed-term.
