Job description

We are seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist to join our team.  

Main Responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering high quality customer service to patients and Doctors.
  • Greeting patients and managing front desk.
  • Effective scheduling of patient appointments.
  • Performing general administrative, reception and other related duties.
  • Maintain the practice in a clean and a tidy condition.
  • Maintain confidentiality while managing patient records.
  • Other duties as directed.

Key Attributes:

  • Experience with Best Practice software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including an ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with patients with a caring attitude.
  • Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.
  • Sound computer skills.
  • Knowledge of Medicare, DVA and Workcover billings preferred.
  • Experience with Best Practice or similar clinical software package preferred.
  • Well presented, friendly, organised and reliable, with accuracy and excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively both autonomously and in a team environment.
