Are you experienced in medical reception work and passionate about patient care? Alpha Omega Family Practice is looking for a reliable Medical Receptionist to join our team on a casual basis.
Hours:You will be working on a rotating roster.
(Starting at 15-20 hours a week)
- Mondays: 8am-5pm
- Tuesdays/Thursdays (morning or afternoon shift)
- Cover for sick and annual leave as needed
- An opportunity for more hours if another doctor is hired
Pay: $32 an hour (reduced rate if under 21)
As a Medical Receptionist at Alpha Omega, your role is vital in providing a friendly and professional atmosphere for our patients.
Responsibilities Include:
- Greeting patients warmly
- Handling phone inquiries
- Booking appointments and managing patient data
- Handling invoices, payments, and Medicare claims
- Managing mail and doctor schedules.
- Collaborating with the team and completing tasks promptly.- Performing other administrative duties as required.
- Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role
- Ability to work well in a team
- Familiarity with
Best Practice Software is a plus.
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Strong phone etiquette and multitasking abilities
- Well-developed written and oral communication skills
- Interact with a wide range of personality types in both pleasant and difficult circumstances
- Motivated and reliable, with good attention to detail
