Medical Receptionist

Electra Park Medical Centre is looking for an experienced receptionist to join our fantastic team that provides exceptional care to our patients.

This is a part-time position.

The successful applicant must have a can-do attitude and great communication skills and be an excellent team player.

Our practice is fully accredited, with up-to-date premises, friendly family-orientated environment, and supportive practice with friendly staff. 

We would love you to have:

• Previous experience in General Practice setting is desirable.
• Strong time management and organisational skills
• Highly motivated and flexible
• Experience with Best Practice program (preferred)

Tasks & responsibilities

• Checking in patients upon arrival
• Conduct billing using Tyro, Medicare, DVA and private invoicing
• Accept and arrange telephone appointments
• Interpret, assess and manage patient enquires to achieve acceptable outcomes
• Receive electronic and hard-copy medical correspondence, and manage to ensure received and forwarded for further management
• Open and close clinic, ensuring secure integrity of the practice
• Undertake management of tasks as directed by doctors and other senior practice staff
• Work days and hours negotiable
