Medical Receptionist – permanent part time.
We have an opportunity for an experienced Medical Receptionist /secretary to join our busy, established practice in Mitcham, VIC3132. You will be working with a friendly team.
Responsibilities
- Front desk reception greeting patients
- Scheduling and managing appointments
- Answering telephone calls and enquiries
- Creating and maintaining patient records
- Taking messages and conveying information accurately and timely
- Mailing, faxing, and filing
- Private patient billing/payments using EFTPOS
- Medicare, DVA and Work Cover claims
- Liaising with third-party providers on behalf of the Drs
- Balance daily receipts and cash
- Opening and closing of the practice
- General administrative duties as required
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in a medical reception or admin role is essential
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Professional telephone manner with clear verbal skills
- High standard of personal integrity to maintain patient/doctor confidentiality
- Basic IT knowledge and Microsoft Office applications
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to multi-task and priorities in a busy team environment
- Ability to work autonomously without direct supervision
- Flexible availability for sick / leave cover
- Experience with “ZedMed” preferred but not essential.
