We have a full-time permanent Relief Medical Receptionist position, working across our clinics located in the for our Western and City clinics (Glenelg, Edwardstown, Western Hospital, Woodville, North Adelaide, Ashford and City West). As a Relief Medical Receptionist, you will be paid an allowance in addition to your salary in recognition of the requirement to work in multiple clinics.
Please note that you will be required to undertake five weeks of initial training based in our Hampstead Gardens or North Adelaide clinic and training centre, before returning to work from your ordinary clinic.

You will use your exceptional customer service skills to provide a patient centred service to our patients, referrers and other stakeholders. You will have exceptional communication skills and have the ability to liaise with all kinds of stakeholders. You will have the ability to multi-task and have a high level of attention to detail.
You will have, or be willing to undertake, a Working with Children Clearance and National Police Clearance.
About the RoleYou will be responsible for:
- Making and confirming complex patient bookings via both inbound telephone call shifts and outbound telephone call shifts
- Providing a high standard of patient care when registering patients, making patient bookings and answering queries
- Answering general enquiries from other key stakeholders such as referrers
- Liaising with referring medical professionals
- Preparation and finalisation of billing, including Medicare, private and third party
- Result preparation
- General office and administrative duties
Your positive can-do attitude and willingness to work as part of a busy, supportive team is essential.
Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist/administrator and/or a working knowledge of medical terminology is advantageous but not essential.
You will be required to travel to our Hampstead Gardens or North Adelaide training centre for the first five weeks of your employment to undertake our comprehensive training program.
