9 DAY FORTNIGHT

MEDICAL SECRETARY/ADMINISTRATION 

We have a senior medical secretarial role for a colorectal surgeon

This is a 9 day Fortnight with Monday to Friday 9 -5 with alternate Friday off

You will be job sharing most duties:

• Reception with meet & greet
• Dealing with front desk duties
• Answering phone calls in a pleasant and timely manner
• Managing busy consulting sessions
• Registering new patients
• Preparing paper work for the surgeon including chasing up blood results & investigations
• Booking patients for theatre, endoscopy, investigations & referral appointments & giving relevant paperwork
• Assisting with minor procedures in the rooms
• Liaising with the hosptials and endoscopy centres
• Sending through theatre lists and ordering any specific equipment or medication the surgeon requires
• Organising assistants/anaesthetists
• Giving paper work to the patient including blood request forms
• Arranging surgical estimates for the nil insured patients
• Billings
• Audio typing ( min 50 wpm)
• IT skills - Gentu knowledge an advantage.

Experience in private surgical rooms. Must be a team player but also be able to work autonomously. 

Salary negotiable
