Form of workAn exciting opportunity is available for a Medical Secretary/administrator to join our friendly team at Yarra Vascular Surgeons.
We are an expanding surgical vascular practice comprised of three Vascular Surgeons and a diagnostic imaging service with specialised vascular sonographers, seeking a dynamic Medical Secretary to join our team. The position is 4 days per week with the opportunity of increasing to full time. You will be required to do some travel between our multiple sites but the role is predominately located in Epping rooms.
This position will suit someone who will thrive in a busy team environment, is able to multitask, prioritise and posses excellent interpersonal skills. You will be well supported by our practice manager, administration team, sonographers and practice nurse. The successful candidate will have previous experience within the medical field, have attention to detail and have the ability to work autonomously.
Essential Requirements:
- Previous experience in the medical field
- Excellent time management
- Moderate to advanced computer literacy
- Passionate and caring personality
Key Duties:
- General Administration
- Booking appointments and running consulting sessions
- Generating surgical quotes and booking surgical procedures
- Addressing emails
- Answering of phones
- Patient billing
Preferred requirements:
- Previous experience with Genie/Gentu advantageous
- Previous experience in surgical specialist rooms advantageous
