AddressMEDICAL SECRETARY REQUIRED FOR PRIVATE SURGICAL PRACTICE (BREAST/ENDOCRINE/GENERAL SURGERY)
- Established practice based in Gosford
- Casual Position – 4 or 5 days a week - can be flexible
- Attractive salary dependent upon experience
- Willing to travel to North Gosford practice if needed
- Start Mid August 2024
Essential Requirements
-Experience using Genie or other practice management software
- Experience in Eclipse Billing including remedying Medicare and Health Fund billing errors
-Experience working in practice administrator/Secretary/Medical Managerial role
- A comprehensive understanding of confidentiality laws surrounding medical information
-High level of work ethic and flexibility with work hours
-Ability to multitask, prioritise tasks and work under pressure
-Excellent phone manner and interpersonal skills dealing with patients, other doctors and hospital staff
- Compassionate and tolerant, able to work with people from a diverse range of backgrounds.
-High level of computer literacy and the ability to learn new programs quickly
- Experience in booking procedures at Public and Private hospital in Genie would be advantageous.
Job Description
Making appointments and extensive diary management
Attending all telephone enquiries from patients and other health professionals
Liaising with hospital bookings and theatres to organise surgery bookings
Billing, invoicing and quoting patients
Billing Medicare and health funds through Genie and Eclipse
Weekly banking and reconciling end of day takings
General office duties, faxing, emailing, converting files etc
Ordering clinical supplies
Management of patient records
Salary negotiable depends on experience
