Position Overview:
As the National Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for spearheading BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT initiatives and cultivating strategic relationships within the local transport, LCL and air freight segments across the country. Leveraging your expertise and industry knowledge, you will play a pivotal role in identifying new business opportunities, forging partnerships with key stakeholders, and expanding our market presence in these critical areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT strategies to drive revenue growth and market expansion in the local transport, LCL and air freight sectors.
- Identify and prospect new business opportunities, including potential customers, partners, and industry collaborators, through targeted outreach and networking efforts.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention while identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, including operations, marketing, and finance, to ensure alignment of BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT initiatives with organizational objectives and priorities.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape to inform strategic decision-making and identify areas for innovation and differentiation.
- Prepare and present compelling proposals, presentations, and business cases to prospective clients, showcasing the value proposition and competitive advantages of our services and solutions.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, pipeline activity, and market trends to track progress towards goals and identify areas for improvement or optimization.
Qualifications:
- Proven track record of success in BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT, sales, or account management roles within the logistics, transportation, or supply chain industry.
- Extensive experience and expertise in local transport, LCL and air freight services, with a deep understanding of industry trends, challenges, and opportunities.
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities and drive sustainable growth.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a results-oriented mindset and a commitment to excellence.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software; familiarity with industry-specific tools and technologies preferred.
- Willingness to travel nationally as needed to meet with clients, attend industry events, and participate in BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT activities.
