As a newly appointed independent entity our client is tasked with facilitating the formation of treaties between the State of Victoria and the First Peoples in Victoria. Their work is firmly anchored in Aboriginal culture, traditions, and legal frameworks. Guided by a collective panel deeply committed to Aboriginal self-determination, they engage with a diverse array of stakeholders, including the State of Victoria, the First Peoples’ Assembly, and Traditional Owners throughout Victoria.
The Role
As the Office Administrator you’ll be the first point of contact and will play a vital role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, supporting their team, and embodying their commitment to Aboriginal self-determination and empowerment.
Your responsibilities will include:-
- Manage reception area, welcoming and directing visitors
- Schedule and monitor meeting room bookings
- Provide general administrative support the team
- Coordinate travel and related logistics
- Organise and coordinate office operations
- Maintain files and template library
- Prepare reports, presentations and other documents
- Manage inventory of office supplies and equipment
- Provide support in the planning and running of events
- Act as the main point of contact for building maintenance
- Coordinate new starter onboarding activities
- Ensuring the office is well-maintained and clean
We're looking for someone with strong administration and MS Office skills, who is highly organised and has a passion for supporting First Peoples. It is essential you have outstanding communication skills, strong attention to detail and a high level of customer service.
