Join a Council on Melbourne's City Fringe as an OHS Support Officer on a 3-month temporary contract, where you'll play a crucial role in supporting our Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting in the development, implementation, and maintenance of OHS policies and procedures.
• Conducting regular safety inspections and risk assessments, identifying hazards and recommending solutions.
• Collaborating with various departments to ensure OHS compliance and providing guidance on safe work practices.
• Assisting with incident investigations and preparing reports.
• Conducting safety training and awareness programs for employees.
• Keeping up-to-date with relevant OHS legislation and regulations.
• Assisting in the development of emergency response and evacuation plans.
• Supporting OHS initiatives and projects as directed.

• A relevant qualification in OHS or a related field.
• Demonstrated knowledge of OHS legislation, regulations, and best practices.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Prior experience in a similar OHS support role is advantageous.
