Our client is a leading player in the refurbishment and recycling industry. They specialize in refurbishing electronic devices and recycling e-waste responsibly, contributing to a sustainable future. Due to growth they continue to expand their operations and are seeking a dedicated Operations Manager to oversee the daily activities and drive operational excellence.
ABOUT THE ROLE.
Strategic Planning: Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance efficiency and profitability in refurbishment and recycling processes.
Process Optimization: Streamline refurbishment and recycling workflows to maximize productivity and minimize waste.
Quality Assurance: Ensure high-quality standards are met throughout the refurbishment process, including thorough testing and inspection protocols.
Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels of refurbished products and raw materials, maintaining optimal stock levels while minimizing excess inventory.
Logistics Coordination: Manage logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution of refurbished products and recycled materials.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and industry standards for recycling and waste management.
Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of refurbishment technicians, recycling specialists, and operational staff to achieve performance targets and operational goals.
Vendor Management: Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and recycling partners to support operational needs.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction initiatives, implementing best practices to drive operational efficiency.
Health and Safety: Promote a culture of safety awareness and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all operational activities.
ABOUT YOU:
Proven experience in operations management within the refurbishment, recycling, or waste management industry, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
Strong leadership abilities with a track record of effectively managing teams and driving performance.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and interface with external stakeholders.
Knowledge of refurbishment processes, recycling technologies, and environmental sustainability principles.
Experience in inventory management, logistics coordination, and supply chain optimization.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards for e-waste recycling and environmental compliance.
Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
Detail-oriented with a focus on quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.
Certification in operations management or relevant industry certifications (e.g., Certified Electronics Recycling Manager) is a plus.
