The Opportunity:
Our Client is seeking an experienced Clinical Practice Leader to join our Child and Youth Services Leadership team. In this role, you will contribute to the clinical governance of the organisation by providing clinical practice leadership across the organisation. The role will ensure the development of staff within our Child and Youth Portfolio of services
Key to your success is your high-level case management practices coupled with your previous experience in supporting children and young people who have experienced trauma, abuse and/or neglect

Key responsibilities:
- Deliver high quality services which are ‘client-centric’, safe, effective and culturally appropriate with outcomes meeting legislative standards and/or funder requirements.
- Provide leadership, support, clear direction and mentoring to both direct reports and broader teams to delivery positive outcomes Ensure team well-being, supporting staff learning and development and facilitating a positive team culture.
- Allocate and utilise resources (people and financial) within the portfolio to achieve optimum results within budget and in accordance with funding/service agreements.
- Manage recruitment to ensure selection of appropriate staff and effective coverage of rosters.
- Manage, monitor and review all care concerns and oversee any subsequent practice improvement opportunities or investigations.
- In conjunction with the Practice Leader, provide oversight and facilitate clinical review, care planning, coordination and decision making for service delivery.
- Ensure there is decentralisation of knowledge amongst all staff – ensuring staff have shared knowledge, shared understanding and a common language that is accessible to all.
- In conjunction with the General Manager Community Services, prepare and implement an annual portfolio plan and budget in line with organisation’s Strategic Plan
- Ensure necessary data is collected to allow for analysis and reporting on service outcomes, impact and/or Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Provide risk management guidance for areas under span or control and manage WHS requirements across all relevant sites and programs.
- Develop and maintain operational policies and/or procedures for the portfolio as required. Contribute to and encourage continuous quality improvement in relation to service delivery, business support services and systems.
About You:
• Holds tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Counselling, Psychology, or equivalent relevant field
• Has experience with specialist psychological assessment and treatment for a wide range of mental health problems of varying severity and complexity
• Possesses a high level of case management experience in supporting Youth
• Hold or be willing to obtain a General Probity Employment Screening
• Hold or be willing to obtain a Safe Environments Certificate
• Hold a current unencumbered Australian driver’s license and be willing to drive
