This is a long-term contract role for 12 months with 2x12 Months extension options, located at our Client's Canberra location.
As the selected candidate, you will assist in the following, but not limited to, priority projects:
Unified Communications
NAFIS NextGen
NPCS Fraud Reduction
Intelligence Operations Management Capability
Speech to Text
SAP Enhancements
Advanced Analytics IT platform
Advanced National DNA System
You will be responsible for:
Undertaking routine tasks related to project support including daily administrative duties, records management, coordination of meeting activities and secretariat support for project and governance boards
Maintaining a familiarity with PRINCE2 and Managing Successful Projects (MSP) frameworks
Establishing and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships through consultation and sharing of information
The preparation of correspondence, presentations, reports, briefs and other communications for project boards, governance bodies, management, and other internal and external stakeholders
The ability to adapt to change including managing competing and changing priorities, and being comfortable working at a high tempo
Undertaking routine procurement, contract management, recruitment and staff on-boarding tasks
Contributing to team dynamics by providing advice and input to decision making and team meetings
To be successful in this role you should have:
Demonstrated experience in providing project support functions including records management, coordination of meeting activities and secretariat services for project and governance boards
Demonstrated ability to undertake routine tasks related to project support including planning and scheduling, resource management, recruitment, procurement and contract management
Demonstrated highly developed written and oral communication skills used to research, analyse and develop communication material for internal and external stakeholders including correspondence, reports and briefs
Demonstrated ability to engage with, and develop effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders
It is desirable if you have:
Demonstrated experience in project and program management and familiarity with PRINCE2 and Managing Successful Projects (MSP) frameworks
Experience in supporting recruitment processes including liaising with managers to determine staffing requirements, planning and arranging advertising, assisting managers to process applications, organising interviews, and tracking and reporting on progress of recruitment
Due to security clearance requirements for this role, candidates must be Australian citizens who have the ability to obtain Federal Government Security Clearances.
